Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
The upgrade of gear can increase its base stats and sometimes increases its other features. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements, and the amount of random augmentations applied.

Reroll Tokens

Survivors can obtain reroll tokens in several ways, including through the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. You can also find them in crates and chests, or buy them from the store for $150 each. Reroll tokens can be used to change the attributes of a piece of equipment, such as increasing its damage or giving it a new stat.
Players can roll equipment with three aspects: physical power, spell power, and health. Upgrades to physical power increase damage from weapons and melee attack while upgrades to spell power upgrade mage attacks and ring. Health upgrades give players additional health.
There are three types of Reroll tokens: upgrade, rare and legendary. Each upgrade elevates the item to a higher quality. To create them, you'll need a higher-quality token to reroll. Upgrades that are enhanced require a standard item, while rare upgrades require a special or legendary item and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.
The reroll marker, unlike other special tokens or markers placed on action spaces, remains on the space till the next success is rerolled. This helps to avoid wasting upgrades.
Blueprints are envelopes which appear at the start of every Preparation phase. They are opened using Interact by grasping them. When they are opened, they display an explanation and icon for the appliance or ingredient. The restaurant's store will exchange blueprints for a new appliance or ingredient for an amount of money.
This means that you can move blueprints between the Staple Pool (which is the default pool) and the Non-staple Pool during a run. This alters the blueprints the restaurant's shop has available for rerolls, and those that are in the non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
Weapons and armor, as well as accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. To upgrade equipment players must first locate the item and then click the "level up button". This will display a menu that shows the item's current status and what it will be when being leveled up and the required amount of Growth Stones to achieve this. The number of Growth Stones needed to upgrade the item is determined by its rarity. Most often, rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, while uncommon armor requires just one blue or green Growth Stone.
Once they have decided on the upgrade, players must then select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the corresponding cost. Once the player has satisfied the requirements, he can select the upgrade option and apply the Growth Stones. The item will be raised in level a certain percentage. The upgrade process can last from a few seconds to several minutes, depending on the rarity of the item.
The upgrade process is also completely risk-free and does not affect the durability of the item. This is an excellent option for players who want to get an edge in combat, but don't want to burden their wallets. Clicking on the "transfer tab", players can also transfer the experience and progress of an upgraded item to an entirely new piece of equipment.
New players may find it difficult to acquire Growth Stones. However, there are many ways to acquire them, including signing contracts and buying them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, collecting them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or getting them from the reward chests of the Ancient Arena season. In addition players can break down the higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.
Leveling
Leveling is a feature that lets you increase the effectiveness of armor and weapons. You can also upgrade trinkets as well as helms. It is accomplished by the combination of an item with upgrade components at the Upgrade Station, paying a cost of Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The process will consume upgrade materials and give the item an increased level, which gives the item an additional boost in that particular area. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, but doing so could destroy the previous upgrade, excluding for glyphs, which can be replaced and removed at any time.
Requirements
Items upgrades allow players to boost certain stats of armor and weapons they already have equipped. The requirements for upgrading an item differ based on the type of item however, you'll usually require Dilithium along with the number of Upgrade Tokens.
The items can be upgraded by adding upgrade components to equipment and weapons. This will give them more effects or an improved item level. These upgrades can come from a variety of sources, including crafting, purchasing at the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting during bosses and raids. Once an upgrade component has been added to an item, it can't be removed and substituted without restriction, however the glyphs used in gathering tools can be swapped out without restriction.
The upgrade of an item can boost its Mark Level and/or Rarity. In addition, certain upgrade components come with additional modifiers that can improve the item's stats.
The helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" for example, increases base defense and adds an additional 20% chance to block. Additionally, the dps upgrade "Wildfire" increases weapon damage.
Upgrades can be beneficial for certain items, but not because they boost stats. They are more valuable for the players when they get a perfect roll. A perfect-rolled 200/6 500 armor set piece, for example is highly sought-after by melee PvP communities and can be worth 20-50 times the value of an unupp'd counterpart.
The game will highlight the requirements when you select the upgrade component that goes into the item. This includes the type of item (either weapon or armor), the tier of that item as well as the upgrade Token needed, and the amount of progress required to complete the upgrade.
