Upgrades can increase the performance of a piece of gear and at times even add additional features. The value of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the number of random augmentations applied.

Reroll Tokens



Reroll tokens let you buy a new item, like armor, weapon, or ring. The item is replaced by another item of the same type however with different benefits. Reroll tokens are an efficient method of upgrading equipment. They don't maintain the original item's level and any wasted resources won't get compensated.

The surviving players can acquire tokens to reroll in many ways, including the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be located in crates and chests, or purchased from the market for 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter an attribute of an item, such as increasing its damage or giving it a new stat.

Players can roll their equipment using three categories: physical power, magic power, and health. Upgrades to physical power can increase the damage of melee and weapons attack while upgrades to spell power increase the damage of mage attacks and the ring. Health upgrades give the player an extra health.

There are three kinds of reroll tokens: upgrade, rare and legendary. Each of these upgrades the item to a better quality. To create them, you need a higher level token to reroll. Upgrades require a regular item. Rare upgrades require an item that is exclusive or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.

As opposed to other tokens or markers that are placed on action spaces The reroll marker is left in the space until the next success result is to be rerolled. This helps to ensure that upgrades are not wasted.

Blueprints appear as envelopes at the start of each Preparation Phase and are opened by grabbing them using Interact. When they are opened, they show an image and description of the Ingredient or Appliance. The restaurant's store will exchange blueprints for a new appliance or ingredient for an amount of money.

Growthstones

Weapons, armor, and accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These stones are special stones that boost the value of an item by improving its stats or attributes. They can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the main towns. They can purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a cost. They are also available to players who have completed daily contracts.

To upgrade gear to upgrade gear, players must first locate the item and then click the "level up button". The menu will appear that shows the item's current status and what it will be after being leveled up and the required amount of Growth Stones to do so. The amount of Growth Stones needed to upgrade the item is determined by its rarity. Most often rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, whereas rare armor requires a single blue or green Growth Stone.

Players can also break down the higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.

Leveling

Leveling is a feature that allows players to increase the stats of their weapons armor, helms and trinkets. It is achieved by adding upgrade components at the Upgrade Station, paying a fee of Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The process will consume upgrade materials and give the item an increased level, which gives the item an additional boost in that area. This process continues until the item reaches its highest level.

Items with upgraded stats will be displayed as a blue icon next to their slot. Contrary to enchantments upgrade components don't stack with one another, and can only be added to one item at a time. Additionally each upgrade component will require a specific number of items to be used and an initial level for the equipment.

The Upgrade Station has two slots: the left is where players can place a piece of equipment to be upgraded, and the right shows a preview of what the gear will look like when it reaches its next level. When players have enough materials and has pressed the yellow arrow will begin the upgrade process.

A piece of gear can be upgraded a maximum of five times. Each time the item is upgraded, its base stats will increase by a small amount. The highest level for an item is 19.

When an item is at its maximum level, it will no longer have the option to upgrade. Also, when an item is on the level of a specific upgrade track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track ) they will be discounted.

Upgrade components are a kind of equipment that is able to be inserted into armors, weapons trinkets, gathering tools and other trinkets to give an additional effect or benefit while the equipment is equipped. They can be bought from vendors, looted, acquired by completing quests, or traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced by acquiring new ones. However, this will ruin the previous upgrade.

Requirements

Item upgrades give players the ability to boost certain stats of armor and weapons that they currently own. The requirements to upgrade an item differ based on the type of item, but you'll typically need Dilithium along with the number of Upgrade Tokens.

Items can be upgraded by adding item upgrade components to weapons and equipment. This will give them more effects or an improved item level. These upgrades can be gotten through a variety of sources in the game, including through crafting, bought at the Trading Post or karma vendors or looted from bosses or raids, or retrieved from dungeons. Once an upgrade component has been placed into an object, it isn't able to be removed or replaced. However it is possible to swap glyphs freely.

The upgrade of an item can boost its Mark Level and/or Rarity. Some upgrade components also have additional modifiers that can increase the item's stats.

The helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" for example, increases base defense and provides an additional 20 percent chance to block. Additionally, the dps upgrade "Wildfire" increases damage to weapons.

Some items benefit from being upgraded not so much for their improved stats, but more because it allows players to get the maximum amount of value from a perfect roll on the item. For instance, a flawlessly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly valued in the melee PvP community and can be worth 20-50x the non-upp'd version.

The game will highlight the requirements when you select the upgrade component to be incorporated into the item. The game will show the required requirements when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.

The game will place an item in your inventory after you have met the requirements for an upgrade. The progress bar will update to show how close you are towards getting the upgrade completed. You can also verify the status of an upgrade by visiting any  item upgrader  NPC.
